INFORMATION OF INTEREST

As in previous years, during 2018 several transfer activities will take place in the CIF of Lourizán. The titles of the planned technical seminars are:

- Alternative tree species in the face of climate change.

- Raising of the Celtic pig in the Galician oak forests and groves.

- The role of Galician pine wood in wood construction.

- Pine quality plant for new plantations in Galicia.

·Silviculture and use of pine (Pinus spp.) in Galicia.

- Cherry trees selected for forest use: collection of materials, spreading techniques, growth in plantations, transfer of approved materials and promotion of planting and use of wood.

- Workshop on prescribed burning and comparison with other preventive treatments of forest fires.

- Technical seminars on planning of urgent rehabilitation tasks of burned forest areas
