Resumo
The project aims to molecularly identify traditional chestnut varieties in the Monte de la Mora located in the municipality of Nogueira de Ramuín. This action seeks to conserve the cultural heritage found in our chestnuts and make it available to the inhabitants for them to appreciate, knowing the grafted varieties cultivated in their municipality. The results of this study will allow describing the varietal diversity of the chestnuts in the "souto" and selecting the most interesting varieties from the area that can be used in new chestnut plantations.
